Potatoes Burger (Patates Köftesi)

Preparation

Cook potatoes in water until tender. Peel and mash while still hot; cool. Soak bread in clod water. Squeeze dry. Combine potatoes, bread, egg, minced parsley, cheese, salt and spices. Mix thoroughly. Shape into 18 egg sized 7 mm thick oval flat patties between oiled palms. Arrange in an oiled baking pan. Bake in a moderate oved for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven. Transfer on a serving plate with a turner. Serve hot.

Potatoe köftes are coated well with flour before frying. Then dipped in well-beaten egg. Coated well with bread crumbs. Fried and drained on paper towel. 1/4 teaspoon mace can be added to potatoe mixture.
