Fish On Clay Tile (Kiremitte Balık)

| Red Mullet | - - | 1 kg |
| Salt | 1 1/2 teaspoon | 9 gr |
| Onion | 1 medium size | 75 gr |
| Tomatoe | 2 small size | 150 gr |
| Wax paper | 1 sheet | - - |
| Butter | 3 tablespoon | 30 gr |
Preparation
Scrape and clean
fısh. Rinse and sprinkle with salt. Put in a colander. Let stand for 15 minutes;
drain. Have a shallow earthenware baking dish (or a clay tile) lined with two
layers of parchment (or aluminium foil). Place fısh in baking dish. Spread sliced
onions and tomatoes over. Dot with melted butter. Bake in a moderate oven for
40 minutes. Serve hot.

Regional Characteristics:
Bass, bluefısh,
trout, gray mullet can be used instead of red mullet. Served with vegetable
salad and lemon wedges. Any kind of dessert is served afterwards.
