SU, Mükerrem Kâmil

Novelist (b. 1906, Bursa – d. 23 July 1997). She graduated from İstanbul Teacher Training School for Women and worked as a primary school teacher in Burhaniye, Edremit and Balıkesir and a teacher of Turkish and literature at Ankara Gazi Institute of Education.

For a long time she worked at Balıkesir High School. She worked as a columnist at the newspaper Tasvir in Ankara.

Mükerrem Kamil, who was a popular woman novelist, attached great importance to national and ethical concerns.
