AYCI, Mehmet

Poet (b. 3 May 1971, Değirmenciuşağı village / Saimbeyli / Adana). He finished primary school in his village (1983), secondary school in Kozan (1987). He graduated from Eskişehir State Railways Vocational School (1990), Anadolu University, Faculty of Economy (1996). He is working as a consultant of press, publication and public relations at the General Directorate of State Railways in Ankara. He is a member of Writers Union of Turkey and the Musical Work Owners Society of Turkey. He speaks Persian.

His first work was published the newspaper Yeni Hür Söz in 1990. He wrote weekly articles in the newspaper Sağduyu for a while. He won third rank in the competition on the subject of Bosnia organized by the newspaper Türkiye in 1993 and in the M. Akif İnan Poetry competition organized by the Municipality of Urfa in 1999.
