ANADOL, Cemal

Researcher and writer (b. 1933, İstanbul). He graduated from Trakya University, Social Sciences Department. He started his writing career in 1948. He worked as a correspondent, secretary, chief and director for the newspapers in which his work was also published such as Son Telgraf, Gece Postası, Hakikat, Tan, Akşam, Sabah, Tercüman, Türkiye and Zaman. Many of his works on socio-economics, socio-politics, socio-culture and Turkish history were used in many universities as reference books.

He was charged under article 312 of Turkish Penal Code with public provocation of hate and enmity by discriminating between religions in some chapters of his book İsrail ve Siyonizm Kıskacında Türkiye (Türkiye Compressed between Israel and Zionism). He was interested in various sports and was a referee of international athletics, national basketball and volleyball.
