AKTAŞ, Ümit

Writer (b. 28 August 1955, Pınaryolu Village / Refahiye / Erzincan). He is the brother of the writer Cihan Aktaş. He graduated from İstanbul State Academy of Engineering and Architecture, Kadıköy Department of Electric Engineering (1978) after he had completed his elementary education. He has worked in various state organizations.

His articles and essays have been published in the newspapers and reviews such as Yeni Devir, Aylık Dergi, Yeni Yorum, Girişim, Bu Meydan, Yeni Zemin, Kitap Dergisi, Nehir, Bilgi ve Hikmet, Değişim, Harman and Kaknüs since 1989.
