AKIN, Sunay

Poet (b. 1962, Trabzon). After attending Koşuyolu High School (1980), he graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Physical Geography (1985). His first poems were published in reviews such as Yeni Olgu and Milliyet Sanat. Afterwards he published his poems in the poetry reviews Yeni Yaprak, which he established, and in Olmaz (1990). He won the Halil Kocagöz Poetry Award in 1987 with a collection of his poetry and the Orhon Murat Arıburnu Poetry Award in 1990 with his book Makiler (The Lemurs).
