A City And Himself

Güven TURAN

A CITY AND HIMSELF

To dream of the sea
Even when looking at the sea
This is what he has long been doing
And imagines he is in a city
With streetcars on its streets
In yellow cutstone edifices
Darkening iron balconies
Sound of pigeons, pigeon
Droppings on the windows
But these are dreams
Neither across from him nor
Anywhere
