Beylerbeyi Mosque Fountains
Founder : Sultan Abdülhamid I
Date :1192 AH / 1778
Location : On either side of the entrance to the courtyard of Beylerbeyi Mosque on Yalıboyu Caddesi.
Type : Pair of single face wall fountains.

 

 

Esma Sultan Fountain- Kadırga
Founder : Esma Sultan, the daughter of Ahmed III and sister of Mustafa III and Abdülhamid I.
Date :1193 AH / 1779
Location : In Kadırga Meydan.
Type : Four face freestanding fountain with namazgâh.

 

 

 

Abdülhamid Han (I) Fountain- Emirgan
Founder : Abdülhamid I.
Date :1197 AH / 1782
Location : Beneath the plane tree in the square in front of the mosque in Emirgan.
Type : Four face octagonal freestanding fountain.

 

 

 

 

Ebubekir Ağa Fountain
Founder : Ebubekir Ağa
Date :1207 AH / 1792
Location : Near Şah Sultan Mosque on Silâhtar Ağa Caddesi in Bahariye, Eyüp.
Type : Single face wall fountain.

 

 

 

Süleymaniye Meydan Fountain
Founder : Unknown
Date :1207 AH / 1792
Location : At one end of Tiryaki Çarşısı in Süleymaniye.
Type : Single face freestanding fountain.

 

 

 

Halid Ağa Fountain- Kadıköy
Founder : Halid Ağa, darüssaade ağa (chief black eunuch.)
Date :1209 AH / 1794
Location : On Halid Ağa Sokağı in Kadıköy.
Type : Three face wall fountain.

 

 

 

 

Kuzguncuk İskele Fountain
Founder : Unknown.
Date :1207 AH / 1792
Location : The building next to the ferryboat quay in Kuzguncuk.
Type : Single face wall fountain.

 

 

 

Yoğurtçu Fountain
Founder : Unknown.
Date :18th century.
Location : On the side of Yoğurtçu Çayırı Caddesi facing the river where the road curves up to Yoğurtçu Parkı Yokuşu in Kadıköy.
Type : Single face wall fountain.
