THE
6th OF THE TRADITIONAL INTERNATIONAL TURKISH FOLK CULTURE CONGRESS
The 6th of the
traditional International Turkish Folk Culture Congress, which has been firstly
organized in 1975 by the General Direclorate of Research and Development of
Folk Cultures affiliated to our Ministry and which has been started to be organized
in every 5 years since 1981, shall be organized in İçel between 18 - 22 June
2001.
In this Congress
within the scope of Globalization and Tradional Culture, 4 sessions on the below
mentioned themes are foreseen and in these sessions related papers shall be
submitted and discussed.
1- Turkish Folk
Culture Studies Carried Out Abroad in the Last 50 Years.
2- Globalization and Traditional Culture
3- Media and Traditional Culture
4- Turks Working Abroad and Cultures Changes.
Turkish and English
languages shall be used in the Congress. The scholars and experts to attend
to the Congrees should fill the participation form which is enclosed herewith
and send their paper summaries (at least 200 words, utmost 500 words) until
December 01, 2000 to our address. The scholars and experts shall send their
original papers as hardcopy and as saved in diskette prepared in Microsoft Word
6.0, 7.0 or Microsoft Office 95 software until April 15, 2001 to our address.
The commissions
upon the themes of the groups shall evaluate the summaries; and the summaries
shall either be accepted or rejected. The result shall be notified to the owners
of the papers.
The period for
the submittal of the papers is 20 minutes in the Congress.
The accommodation
and daily life expenses and the transportation expenses within Türkiye (bus train)
of the scholars and the experts to attend to the Congress both from Türkiye and
abroad shall be borne by the Congress Organization Committee. The transportation
expenses (from the foreign country to Türkiye) of the scholars and experts to
attend to the Congress from abroad shall be borne by themselves. Expenses of
the individuals, except the ones invited, shall not be covered.
On the condition
that the participation form, paper summary and the original papers together
with the diskettes have not sent to the Execution Committee until the set dates,
it shall be considered that you will not attend to the Congress.
